Chanel and I had planned to chat for a few days however due to a clash of schedules it took a while for us to actually call. But when we did it was extremely fun and refreshing. We had both encountered each other in the PA 2021 virtual camps so we were familiar with each other.

Since Chanel is from Australia, she talked about the current ongoing lockdown in Melbourne, where she resides and the difficulties that arose with the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, which I also shared my own sentiments and difficulties all the way from the Maldives.

We both also discussed our hobbies, and about the different celebrations within our cultures such as Christmas and Eid. Chanel talked about her love for cross stitching. Meanwhile, I expressed my interest in learning languages. We also had rather deep conversations about topics like religion, laws and political views regarding the rulings of our respective countries. It was enlightening and wonderful. I truly hope we can have a face to face conversation sometime.
